What we collect and why
- Invitation request (travellers). First name, last name, email, city, when you're free (dates or in general) and, if you add one, a hotel you'd like to try. We use them to send you invitations that fit, to tell hotels how many members would like to stay with them (as a number, without names), and to invite a hotel you named that isn't with us yet. We ask for your last name because, when you accept an invitation, we pass your first name and last name to that hotel so it can confirm your stay and check whether you're a new guest. Basis: your consent.
- Hotel application. Name, role, property, type, town, number of rooms, email, phone and the nights you mention. We use them to contact you about SayQuando. Basis: steps before a possible agreement, at your request.
- Search as you type. What you type in the city and hotel fields is sent to Photon, a search service run by komoot GmbH (Germany) on OpenStreetMap data, to suggest places. Your browser's IP address reaches that service as part of the request. Nothing else is sent.
- Visiting the site. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data (such as IP address, browser and time) to deliver and protect the site. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare (hosting, security, visit counts)
- Google, through Google Workspace (our email, and the spreadsheet where requests are stored)
- komoot (search suggestions)
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the USA. Both are certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework or bound by standard contractual clauses. We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. Our fonts are hosted on our own site.
How long we keep it
Invitation requests: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and at most 24 months after our last contact with you. Hotel applications: for as long as we're in touch, and at most 24 months unless we work together.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We update this notice when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
